Imagine troupes of dancing mailboxes, amusing people in public spaces in different towns all across Pennsylvania, and then giving out flyers with useful and accurate information about how and where to vote by mail, to vote by drop box, and/or to vote in person. This is #DeliveringDemocracy!
"SOLO-TERING IN PLACE: A Dilemma on Paper"
Shotgun Players asked folks to submit a two-minute video that had to include "ten seconds of movement, the passage of time, three lines or more from a play, and a mask or toilet paper." This is what I came up with. Folks have commented that they liked what I did with the "ten seconds of movement." As you can see, sheltering in place has had a little effect on my psyche. Watch now.
New Video Performance for City Lights Books for May Day
City Lights asked me to do a "manifesto or rant" for their May Day celebration, along with some folks I really admire like L.A. Kaufmann. Here's what I did.
“New Situationists” Exhibit – Pro Arts Gallery, Downtown Oakland, and Performances on April 21 and 22
My work is featured in the “New Situationists” Exhibit on Pro Arts Gallery on Frank Ogawa Plaza, downtown Oakland. It’s right by the 12th Street BART station, easy to get to, perfect to check out on a lunch break: 150 Frank H Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, CA 94612.The exhibit is open until April 28, Tuesdays through Fridays, 12-6pm.
